The massive public park located in Brussels is a must see. That’s it!Īlso, around the Manneken Pis are a bunch of chocolate and waffle shops so your walk to the statue won’t be for nothing, I suggest grabbing a nutella waffle with all the fixings! If you look far in the back of our photo, above all of the tourists, you can see a statue of a little boy peeing. Honestly, this was very strange but we had read about these statues of a boy, girl and dog peeing that are placed in different areas and we decided we had to go find all of them in Brussels and we did! The Manneken Pis was by far the most popular and had a huge crowd taking selfies with him. We often stopped by here multiple times during the day or night for food or drinks and just to admire our surroundings.
When I was there, they had a set up for the chinese new year celebration which was beautiful. Each building in the Grand Place has beautiful stonework and gold highlights, you could spend quite a bit of time just admiring the architecture. The Grande Place is the city’s main plaza and is the home to the city hall and many restaurants, bars and cafe’s. Brussels definitely offers it’s own unique must see spots so here is a list of the places we decided to check out! 1. Brussels is in no way your typical romantic city getaway as it is the capitol of the European Union and an economic and educational hub so it has a worker city vibe.
